Trio Bella

Sopranos Heather and Rebecca Fetrow are graduates of the Westminster Choir College, Princeton, New Jersey, where their teacher was Ms. Laura Brooks Rice.

As a student, Heather sang the roles of Beth in “Little Women” and Malwina in “Der Vampyr” with the Westminster Opera Theater. She has appeared as soloist with the Westminster Choir under the direction of Joseph Flummerfelt at Spoleto, USA, and has given solo recitals in New York City and Fort Myers, Florida.  She is currently a member of the voice faculties of Westminster Conservatory and the Hun School in Princeton, New Jersey, where she resides.

Rebecca will perform a graduate voice recital on the Westminster campus in the spring of 2007. She studied in Italy during the fall semester, 2005, and participated in a week-long master class given by international opera star Mirella Freni. Rebecca was the soprano soloist in a 2005 New Jersey Youth Symphony performance of Beethoven’s “Choral Fantasy”. Recent appearances include The New Jersey Performing Arts Center and the Trenton War Memorial, where she sang selections from “Don Giovanni” and “Cosi Fan Tutte”. This past summer she sang the role of La Cugina in the Princeton Festival’s production of “Madame Butterfly”.

The Fetrow sisters’ accompanist, Barbara Fetrow Suhrstedt, has performed several times on the Historical Piano Concerts Series with her late husband Gerhardt Suhrstedt, as an internationally-known piano duet team.
